What you will accomplish
- Check how funds are deposited and withdrawn
- Compare prices and available size
- Read what the audit covers and excludes
- Run a small deposit, trade, close, and withdrawal test
Before you begin
- The official Quote.Trade app and current documents
- A simple checklist
- The venue’s official terms, contracts, audit, and technical documentation
- A small test amount only after preliminary review
Decide what you need the platform for
Write down the market, side, amount, how long you expect to hold the position, the collateral you will use, and the maximum amount you are willing to risk. A platform can work for one type of trade and not another.
Check what runs on-chain and off-chain
Check which functions are on-chain, which are off-chain, who operates the matching and risk engine, how funds are released, and what can be verified publicly. Be skeptical of claims such as fully anonymous, zero risk, or zero market impact unless the claim is clearly defined and supported.
Read what the audit covers
Match the contract addresses from official sources and open them in the correct block explorer. Check the audit date, the exact contracts reviewed, the findings, and the systems the audit does not cover. Quote.Trade’s V5 audit covers public smart contracts and explorer evidence, not the private matching engine, infrastructure, signer custody, solvency, or legal issues.
Test prices and available size
Compare same-time, same-side, same-size all-in terms. Measure quote availability, price, executable quantity, rejection rate, latency, and realized fills. Check whether the price is only market data or can actually be executed, and confirm what happens when the full amount is unavailable.
Understand deposits and withdrawals
Confirm the supported tokens and networks, connected-wallet rules, waiting periods, limits, emergency controls, and withdrawal destination. Check recent transactions on the correct block explorer and complete a small withdrawal after closing the position.
Run a small deposit-trade-withdraw test
Use the official site, verify the destination, connect a dedicated wallet, fund a small amount, request a quote, place one small trade, close it, withdraw, and inspect each transaction. Record support response quality and any discrepancy.
Decide whether to proceed and with how much
Proceed only if the funding, trade, close, and withdrawal test works as expected and the price and available size meet your needs. Start small and repeat the review after a material contract, architecture, or terms change.
Common problems and fixes
What if one quote looks unusually good?
Treat one quote as a single observation. Repeat the comparison at the same size and record price, time, available quantity, and outcome before drawing a conclusion.
Support asks for a seed phrase or private key
Stop immediately. Legitimate support does not need those secrets.
